Ecological niche modeling is a common tool to assess potential geographic distributions of the species. Additionally, it allows to map species distributions using information about both present and past environmental conditions which was known, such as the effects of climate change. This method, which is frequently used by many researchers, can be used to understand what kind of geographical and ecological distinctions play a role in the speciation of almost every living creature.
