In addition to undergraduate and minor programs, our department offers graduate programs such as Master of Statistics, Master of Statistics Scientific Preparation, Master of Data Science (with Thesis and Non-Thesis options), and Doctorate of Statistics. The undergraduate program in the Statistics department is 30% taught in English. The department consists of main branches including Statistical Theory, Statistical Information Systems, Probability Theory and Processes, Risk Analysis, Applied Statistics, and Operations Research.

The education system consists of two semesters per year, totaling 4 years (excluding the preparatory year). A 4-point grading system is applied. Students are required to successfully complete all courses. The evaluation of success in the course is as follows: See DEU Faculty of Science Teaching and Examination Regulations, Articles 25-27. The program also aims to graduate students who are aware of their responsibilities to society and their profession, can follow innovations in science and technology, and continuously renew their statistical knowledge with the consciousness of lifelong learning. In the first and second years of our department, there are fundamental courses such as Probability and Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Use in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistical Inference, and Programming. In the third year, Regression analysis, Survey design and analysis, Linear programming, Financial mathematics, and Statistical Experimental design are compulsory courses, while all other courses are elective. In the fourth year, Multivariate Statistics, Nonparametric Statistical Methods, Categorical Data Analysis, and Time Series Analysis are compulsory, while other courses are elective. Our department also offers a minor program. In addition, our department has bilateral agreements with various universities under the ERASMUS and FARABI programs.
